An ancient tunnel, extending from an old church courtyard, was entered and partially explored by our son Bryce during late 2006. Since then, we have planned an expedition to get to this remote location in northern Peru to see for ourselves what was hidden there. With the help of Xpeditions TV enthusiasts who supported the trip through donations, we made our way across the Sechura Desert to the Church of San Martin. Was the tunnel, and all said to have been placed there, myth or fact? Did it really connect to an island off shore? The answers were surprising...
