ABOUT THIS PAGE
You are at the Xpeditions trip information page. Here you will find links directing you to a series of links where you pay, register and read the "Terms and Conditions" section. Each of these areas are important because we want you to know we are serious about making sure your experience is truly memorable in a good way! Please take a few minutes to read through this page completely andf the corresponding pages, completing items as required. Kathy or I will contact you once funds arrive to assure you we have received your deposit or trip payment.

SELECTING YOUR TRIP
Within the menu above are several selections from the trips we offer. Once you have made your selection the link will take you to the appropriate page where (online) you can pay your deposit, pay half the cost of your trip, or pay a portion.
We have tried to make this as easy as possible. If you have any problems please contact us. You do not have to pay online. This is only for your convenience as we would prefer to have you send us your payment due to fee's charged by PayPal. Our information is just below if you choose to send us your payment.

REGISTRATION
Print the registration page, fill it out and bring it with you to Lima. Until we meet, keep this with your passport. It is a very important item we'll need while you are in Peru.
Additionally, we ask you to send us a recent photograph of yourself. It will help us identify you at the airport.

SINGLE OR DOUBLE?
If you pay for a single room and later want to change this to a double it will be no problem up to 2 weeks before the trip begins, providing we can find a suitable roommate for you. After this, it will be nearly impossible. Why? Simply because the hotels will have already been paid in full by then. They will not refund us, or you.

ABOUT PAYMENT FOR YOUR TRIP
While PayPal is an excellent option (there is a 4% transaction fee), your trip payment can also be sent certified funds via the postal service, paid with cash upon arrival or directly deposited into our bank account. Please ask for banking information if you choose direct deposit. We require you to pay 50% of the trip cost before arriving to Lima. You are required to pay the remainder (in cash only) before the trip begins and once you arrive to Peru. Currency should be clean bills without stamps, ink marking or tears on the note of any kind. Unfortunately these are no good here. I can't tell you how many times my passengers and I have encountered this. Please, please... check every note to be sure it is in good condition. Otherwise it is useless until you return home.

TRIP INSURANCE
Trip insurance is not mandatory, but it should be. I urge you to consider getting this for yourself. It's really inexpensive protection that offers a superb safety net. Our trips are very safe, so that isn't the issue. Although you never know ... you could fall or get sick. This is one valid reason to buy this service. However, there are other - more important reasons - to purchase  trip insurance.

The world has changed so much the last 15 years. I never used to think about travel insurance, though I now purchase it before every trip we make. If you've watched the morning news you know as travelers we face many uncertainties; flight cancellations, bad weather and international crisis are becoming more commonplace. If your trip is interrupted due to these or other conditions you will be refunded the for the portions you don't make it to - or the entire trip! let's say an important meeting suddenly is scheduled requiring your attendance or a family member needs you back home. You're covered. Read through the policies to see the extent you are covered. I believe once you do this you'll understand why we urge you to protect yourself this way.

LATE ARRIVALS
If you are joining "just before the trip", or you decide to join us once any trip has started, you must bring the entire amount with you (cash only), providing this once you arrive. It is highly likely you will be scheduled into a single (private) room. Please ask if you are not clear. We are willing to work with you.

You cannot pay inside Peru with a check of ANY KIND

Check(s) can be mailed to the following address up to 30 days before departure
After this you must bring cash with you to Peru
Jerry Wills
4727 E. Bell Road
Suite 45-465
Phoenix, Arizona 85032

Please make the check(s) payable to "Jerry or Kathy Wills"

Contact us via email or telephone if you decide to deposit funds directly into our account

TIPS AND TAXES

Q: "What are Tips and Taxes?"

A: We collect $85 per person for tips and any taxes needed at the airport. In the event we do not fly, the "taxes" portion is returned to you. This amounts to about $25 or $30 dollars (US).

TIPS
While traveling through Peru you are assisted by an assortment of individuals working for hotels and other service agencies. As we change locations you will see many people trying to get your attention. These folks are wanting to help you with your things. Unless you ask Kathy or I, do not allow anyone to assist you. Keep a close watch on your belongings and never let anyone help you that one of us have not selected - when in doubt, ask. There are those who are only looking to help themselves to your belongings!

This is typical of all south and central American destinations. Once we (as a group) arrive to Peru we carefully select porters and aids we are familiar with and trust. These aids are "hired" by hotels and service agencies we have used for years. However, these helpers are not usually employed by the hotels. Instead, they rely on the quality if their service to prompt you to "tip" them. This is how they make a living. This situation can become very confusing when a crowd of "helpers" asks for their tip, which they did nothing for.

To eliminate this we collect tips and taxes (see below) from our passengers in advance ($85 from each person per trip portion if you choose multiple trips). At the appropriate time Kathy or I choose who helps and what the tip will be. The result is high quality service from trusted individuals. The additional advantage is that you never have to be concerned with this.

It is important to note the tip money we collect is never used for guides, housekeeping (maids), taxi drivers, waiters or food service employees. These are your responsibility. It is customary to generously tip your guide at the end of the journey or segment they accompanied you on. Usually the group as a community collects this tip and presents it to the guide(s) themselves.

TAXES
Traveling for one region of Peru to the next sometimes requires a flight. Unlike the US, where the ticket cost includes all taxes, Peruvian airlines sell a ticket and require the passenger to purchase a tax stamp in order to enter the boarding area. This tax varies when departing from one city to the next.

As many flights are available, and only one tax window is open, the wait time and lines can be quite long. We do not want our passengers to have to stand in long lines. So, we collect these taxes in advance and have one of our crew wait in line. Your time can be spent enjoying the surroundings, chatting or simply relaxing with friends.

It is our goal to provide you the most comfortable and least stressful journey you have ever experienced. By allowing us to take care of these two items you will never know the frustration you missed : )
